Imagine cruising down the road in a new Toyota model that is specifically tailored to your sport of choice. That'd be pretty cool right? Well, for those who enjoy rally racing, surfing or motocross, you are in luck. At the 2011 SEMA Show, Toyota released three models guaranteed to get you excited. The models were placed in the body of either a 2012 Toyota Tacoma or 2012 Toyota Tundra. For now, Lustine Toyota would like to take a look at the last of those three sport-inspired variants: the Tundra Ultimate Motocross Truck.
In order to get the model right, Toyota teamed up with DC Shoes and gathered feedback from actual Motocross athletes. The automaker then took these comments into consideration and came up with the following utility features and powertrain specs:
- Roof rack/viewing deck- Fold-up bed sides
- Suicide tailgate
- Hidden ramp
- Fox Racing shocks
- KMC 18 X 9-inch wheels mounted to General 35 X 12.5 X 18 tires
- 5.7-liter, V8 engine
- Six-speed, electronically-controlled transmission with intelligence
To convince consumers that the Ultimate Motocross Truck is well-equipped to handle all the dirt-spitting, terrain-tackling fun, World Freestyle Motocross champion and X games gold medalist Nate Adams served as the model presenter. Not that, anyone needs much convincing to see the innovation and dedication behind this and every other Toyota model.
