The 2012 Prius v Coming to Woodbridge

There's a new Prius Family coming to Lustine Toyota in Woodbridge, VA - which includes the larger sibling Toyota Prius v. The Japanese auto maker hopes to introduce new models, including the original, a compact, van size (MPV) and more to a green car loving public.

This Prius model is larger than the 10 year old sedan. But that's not why you really test drive a Prius, here's why: With a range of well over 500 miles on a single charge, Prius v has been officially rated at 44 mpg city, 40 mpg highway.

"2012 Toyota Prius v has reason to be smug," says an article from Detroit News. For once, that word is not an insult.1

Prius v sits on a larger platform, seating five comfortably. With all that room, you need a bit more horsepower. That comes from the 80 horsepower gas powerplant, with help from two electric motors that brings it up to 134 horses and 153 pound-feet of torque. It may not blast through stop signs and traffic lights, but the roomier, five door hybrid is larger than the competitions' crossover models.

Coming in at a starting price of $27,160 before tax incentives, it's quite possible your all new 2012 Prius v could be your family vehicle for around $20,000.
