Toyota Circulates Safety Awareness Through Film

For Toyota, safety isn't just about developing new driver/passenger protection technologies. Don't get us wrong, it's certainly a big part. But the automaker also recognizes the role awareness and education play in keeping consumers safe on the road.
In order to educate drivers on the reality of issues surrounding safety, Toyota has teamed up with the Discovery Channel and will present a documentary called Life Behind the Wheel. Not only does the film draw attention to some of the core causes of vehicle crashes and crash-related injuries (i.e. texting, improper car seat installation) but it offers up viable solutions and best practices as well.
Pat Pineda, Group Vice President of National Philanthropy for Toyota, explains, "At Toyota, safety is a priority in everything we do, we are focused on making sure drivers everywhere have the resources they need to keep their families, friends and loved ones safe and secure."1 Those resources include the Star Safety System found in new Toyota models such as the 2012 Toyota Corolla and 2012 Toyota RAV4.
If you're interested in watching Life Behind the Wheel, Toyota and the Discovery Channel offer up several viewing venues. Already the pro-safety partnership has aired the documentary on the Discovery Channel and will do so again on May 5th. For those who prefer online viewing, the documentary is available for free at www.discoverychannelpatiented.com or on iTunes.
Another venue for learning about vehicle safety can be found at Lustine Toyota. Our team of Toyota experts is ready and willing to share information regarding driver/passenger protection and best practices. Simply swing by in person or contact us online with any specific questions.
