2019 TRD Pro Series Announced

Serious Off-Road Performing TRD Pro Series is Here

The TRD--Toyota Racing Development--Pro Series trucks have arrived for the next generation. Purchasing a truck from the TRD Pro lineup will get you Fox 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks. The TRD Pro is really the tool to buy to get you to your off-road destination and back! These trucks will dominate the off-road world for the 2019 model year. Continue reading to learn all about the TRD Pro's three types, general information, and what it can do for you!

The Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner

The Tacoma has Fox front shocks paired with 46mm pistons and eight bypass zones. There are TRD-tuned springs to provide an extra one inch of front lift. There is a large front sway bar to retain refined road manners and crisp steering. Inside there is an Entune Premium JBL Audio system with a subwoofer amplifier and an Integrated Navigation and App suite. The Tacoma has TRD Pro-branded floor mats.

The Tundra has the same front shock and piston combination as the Tacoma. The Tundra has Rigid Industries LED foglights for many weather conditions. The Tundra also has LED headlights with LED accent lights. The truck also has a new TOYOTA grille and a new hood scoop. The Tundra will get you 18-inch BBS forged-aluminum, five-spoke wheels. Opt for the 4Runner TRD Pro and you will get one of Toyota's most excellent off-road vehicles ever. The 4Runner has a new roof rack to stash additional gear outside of your cabin.

The Truck's Suspension

The above-mentioned Fox shocks are specifically-tuned for each TRD Pro, by TRD engineers. The shocks are also aluminum-bodied. They offer superior performance, and serious damping for many situations. Some of these situations could include slow-speed rock crawling, high-speed desert running, or simply driving to your friend's Thursday night potluck and back. These bypass shocks will make you feel confident in any TRD Pro!

Safety Features

Even though this vehicle's focus is on off-roading, that is no excuse for a lack of safety features. Thus, this truck offers tons of safety goodies. One of these standard features is a Star Safety System that consists of Smart Stop Technology, Brake Assist, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, an Anti-lock Brake System, Traction Control and Vehicle Stability Control. The Tundra and Tacoma have standard Toyota Safety Sense P that includes high-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Automatic High Beams, Lane Departure Alert with Sway Warning System, Lane Departure Alert and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection.
