What Do The Warning Lights Mean?

ABS Warning Light: You will see this light when there is a fault in the ABS braking system. This fault will not result in you losing your brakes, but its very important to have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer as quickly as possible.Charging System Warning Light: This is a warning that appears when there is a problem with the battery/charging circuit. If the light appears while you are driving, it can mean a broken fan belt or faulty wiring. If this happens, stop the vehicle immediately and seek professional help.
  
Cruise Control Indicator: This light shows you that the Cruise Control feature is on.

Driver's Front/Passenger's Seat Belt Reminder Light: If the driver or passenger's seat belt is not fasten, this light gives you a reminder. 
  
Eco Driving Indicator: This indicator light turns on during Eco-friendly acceleration (Eco driving). If the acceleration exceeds the Zone of Eco Driving or the vehicle is stopped, then the light turns off. The Eco Driving light is designed to increase fuel economy and can be activated or deactivated. 

Engine Management Light: You will see this light when the vehicle detects a fault with the engine management system. Because this could cause the system to operate abnormally, you should have your Toyota dealer inspect the vehicle immediately.
  
Headlight High Beam Indicator: This gives you indication that your high beams are on. If you see oncoming traffic approach, it is important to turn them off. Headlight Indicator: If your headlights are on, this indicator will be illuminated. 
  
Low Engine Oil Pressure Warning Light: This is an important warning to pay attention to. It lets you know when your vehicle's oil pressure is low. If this happens, pull over immediately and check the oil level. If the oil level seems to be correct, but the light it on, bring your vehicle into your Toyota dealership for a diagnosis.Low Fuel Level Warning Light: When your fuel gets low, this light turns on. Some cars will let you know approximately how many more miles you have to drive. Refuel your vehicle as soon as possible.

 
Low Windshield Washer Fluid Warning Light: A light that lets you know you have a low level of washer fluid. Fill the reservoir when this light appears.


Maintenance Required Reminder Light: This is a reminder to drivers that regular maintenance is required according to the driven distance on the maintenance schedule. On newer Toyota models, it turns on every 5,000 miles to remind you of an oil change and tire rotation. When the maintenance is performed the light will reset. 
 
 
Open Door Warning Light: Let you know when a door or the trunk is not fully closed. Once all doors are close properly, the light will turn off.Power Steering Warning Light: This light comes on when there is a malfunction in the EPS system. If it does, you need head to your Toyota dealer immediately.
  
Security Indicator: If the key has been removed from the engine, and the system is operating, this light will turn on. After the key has been inserted into the engine switch, the system has been canceled and the indicator light will stop flashing.Slip Indicator: When your tires are slipping, usually due to bad road conditions, the slip indicator flashes to indicate that Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and/or Traction Control (TRAC) are operating in order to regain traction. 
  
SRS Airbag On-Off Indicator: Toyota models have a front passenger occupant classification system. This light illuminates to keep you aware of the system's status.


SRS Warning Light: If this light stays on there is something wrong with the system, and it is possibly disabled. It can  mean the airbags will not deploy and the seat belts will not tighten in an accident. There are different reasons that the light may not turn off, such as when an airbag has been deployed and not reset properly or from a computer error. You should visit your Toyota dealer immediately.
  
Tire Pressure Warning: Informs driver of low inflation pressure. Adjust the tire inflation pressure and the light will turn off after a few minutes.  If the light stays on after blinking for one minute, it can mean you have a malfunction in the tire pressure warning system. Contact your Toyota dealer for help."TRAC OFF" Indicator: Lets you know that Traction Control is off. The TRAC system switches the traction control on/off to prevent wheelspin and further downshifting. To turn the TRAC system off, press and release the button. The TRAC OFF indicator should come on. Press the switch again to turn the system back on.
  
Turn Signal Indicator: Lets you know when your turn indicators are on. "VCS OFF" Indicator: This is a switch that allows you to turn off TRAC and VSC. Press the button and the The TRAC OFF indicator light and VSC OFF indicator light should come on. Push the switch again to turn the system back on.
