Trim Levels of the 2019 Toyota Tacoma

As one of America's most favorite midsize pickups for twelve years running, the 2019 Toyota Tacoma is a fun and functional light-duty truck for just about every need you'd encounter.  With its array of six trims, rear- or all-wheel drivetrains, Access or Double cab sizes, and five- or six-foot bed lengths, the Tacoma offers you over thirty body configurations to suit your exact purposes.  Its muscle and capability can handle an array of tough jobs with ease while simultaneously being an affordable and fuel efficient truck. You have choice between the economic 159 horsepower 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine or a more powerful 278 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 with efficiency-boosting variable valve timing, paired either with a six-speed manual or a six-speed Electronically Controlled automatic transmission.  Not to mention, Toyota has a leading reputation of providing vehicles with legendary longevity, durability, and reliability for years to come and hundreds of thousands of miles. Interested in the Tacoma, but don't know where to start? Here you can examine the Tacoma's trims and starting price points to find a vehicle that best suits your budget and technological-convenience needs!

SR

The base trim of the 2019 Tacoma starts at an MSRP of $25,550, and while it's the most modestly equipped vehicle, it still packs in a load of technology and safety for your enjoyment and peace of mind.  It serves the utilitarian with well placed comfort; four-way adjustable cloth seats are equipped with lumbar support adjustments as the steering wheel tilts and telescopes while accessories require manual adjustments.  Air conditioning is standard, along with a rear sliding window. Every Tacoma is equipped with a 6.1-inch radio touch interface programmed with standard hands-free Bluetooth phone calls, five USB ports, an auxiliary connection, and six speakers.  This serves as the viewport for the rear camera. For safety, all trims are also equipped with a well endowed system of driver assist features such as automatic high beams, automatic forward collision mitigation emergency braking, lane departure warnings, and adaptive cruise control.

SR5

For $2,000 more, the SR5 includes more convenience features to give drivers a little more entertainment and versatility with the Tacoma's base technology.  Foglights are added for enhanced visibility, while looks of this trim are personalized with some chrome detailing on its dark charcoal grille. Remote keyless entry becomes standard, and the Entune audio system gains further connectivity with standard smartphone integration, navigation, voice command recognition, and available satellite SiriusXM radio.

TRD Sport

Within the TDR Sport, the 3.5L V6 engine becomes standard equipment rather than simply optional, raising the price to a starting MSRP of $32,235.  Previous to this trim, as well, you didn't have the choice of opting for the six-speed manual transmission for a boost of performance. The Sport's enhanced power is accented with unique body-colored fender flares and rear bumper and an engine fueling hood scoop for better air induction.  Adding to functionality, the Sport gains a 400-watt power outlet within the bed. Within the cab, you'll find the rear window power actuating, a push-button start, and full navigation provided within a larger seven-inch touchscreen.

TRD Off-Road

The TRD Off-Road comes similarly upgraded as the TDR Sport, but as its name implies the Off-Road features all-terrain changes that make it a titan over land or pavement.  For $33,500 include all-terrain tires on 16-inch alloy wheels, extra skidplates underneath to protect the valuable mechanics, Blistein monotube shocks, a lockable rear differential, and an advanced all-terrain traction drive mode system to better customize torque usage and crawl control.

Limited

The Limited brings some luxury to the Toyota Tacoma.  Its $37,490 starting MSRP brings with it such highlights like a power sunroof, dual-zone automatic temperature adjustments, and heated leather seats.  Providing enhanced sound in the crew-only cab configuration is an upgraded JBL sound system with added subwoofer. The Limited also gains better safety ability with standard blind-spot alerts, rear cross-traffic alerts, and reverse parking proximity sonar alerts.

TRD Pro

Exclusively sold as a four-wheel drive vehicle the TRD Pro blends the best of both worlds to give you an all-encompassing ride on and off the road.  It's equipped for all-terrain specialization similar to the TRD Off-Road with upgraded Fox internal bypass shocks, and also comes standard with all the luxury features offered within the Limited.  It's an inch broader and taller than the other trims of the Tacoma lineup, enhancing stability while conquering more than ever for a starting MSRP of $42,660.
